C2PA + blockchain notarization
A downloaded notice, forwarded record or republished attachment: citizens and other public administrations need to recognize the source and compare the document version.
01 / IN THE DOCUMENTMake the declared origin and integrity of PDFs issued by the public body verifiable. Credentials help distinguish the reference document from an altered copy.
Record the fingerprint of the published version to complement document management with external proof. The blockchain stores the hash, not the contents of the record.
Proof is not a public copy. In the illustrated notarization workflow, the hash is recorded while the document content remains in the systems that manage it.
Help citizens and public administrations recognize the source of notices, records and PDF forms. C2PA credentials enable checks of declared origin and integrity without independently establishing a record’s legal validity.
Make the credential issuer and reference version accessible even when a PDF is forwarded outside the public body’s website. Blockchain proof can complement comparison with the published version.
