Benefits for your team

Content Credentials for Salesforce.
More context. More transparency.

An integration in development to bring content provenance into business processes.

Context for brand content

The integration is designed to accompany business content with provenance information that is useful to recipients and readers.

A simple connection for your team

The planned setup connects Salesforce to SCE through a plugin and a key, without requiring your team to develop a custom connection.

One standard, more collaborators

Content Credentials use the open C2PA standard: a common reference for examining provenance with compatible tools.

Installation and requirements

Prepare your integration.

At release, you will need a Salesforce environment that allows plugin installation and an SCE account. Setup will be guided.

Check compatibility with us

Before activation

  • Permission to install and configure the plugin
  • SCE account and connection key
  • Credits to use the signing service

Salesforce editions, specific permissions and compatibility will be clarified at release. You can already show us your environment during a demo.

Content and formats

The signature applies to
a specific piece of content.

Start with the materials your team wants to share: campaign assets, images and business documents. These are scenarios to assess for the upcoming integration.

ImagesVideoAudioPDF

Which files can the plugin sign?

The Salesforce integration is planned to support images, video and audio in C2PA formats, as well as PDFs. Version compatibility and limits will be clarified at release.

Images and versions

An image changes. Verification must follow its version.

Resizing, cropping and conversion can change the file. This also applies when content moves from Salesforce to a WordPress website or another channel.

  1. 01

    A signed original

The credential refers to the content it was attached to.

  2. 02

    A new variant

Resizing, cropping or converting an image can invalidate its link to the original signature or remove its credentials.

  3. 03

    The published version

You need to verify the file that is actually distributed. A variant may require a new signature or a compatible workflow that preserves its provenance.

Variant handling in the Salesforce plugin will be defined at release. During the initial discussion, we can also assess the channels where you publish.

The reader experience

From the Cr icon
to provenance information.

When a badge or credential link is present, readers can open it to explore the information available for that content. The badge’s position and how it appears depend on the integration.

Content Credentials

What readers can explore

  • Source information, when present
  • Declared tools and edits
  • The result and limitations of file verification

The Cr icon points to information readers can explore. On its own, it does not attest that the signature is valid or that the content depicts true events.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know,
before you start.

Which content can the plugin sign?

The Salesforce integration is planned to support images, video and audio in C2PA formats, as well as PDFs. Compatibility and limits will be clarified at release.

What does the C2PA plugin for Salesforce do?

The integration is in development and is designed to connect content managed in Salesforce workflows to SCE C2PA services. The aim is to add accessible provenance information without developing a custom integration.

Is the plugin free? What about C2PA credentials?

The plugin will be free. The planned setup requires an SCE key and credits to use the services, created and purchased in the dashboard during activation.

How do you connect Salesforce to SCE without code?

At release, the planned process will start with installing the plugin from Salesforce AppExchange. You will be directed to the SCE dashboard to create a key and buy credits, then connect the plugin through its settings.

Do Content Credentials guarantee that content is true?

Credentials let you verify declared provenance and its link to the content. They help assess context, but do not by themselves certify the truth of a news story or what an image depicts.

Do credentials remain after editing or sharing?

It depends on the file’s journey. Edits, exports or platforms that remove metadata can break the link to credentials. It is useful to verify the version of the file that is actually distributed.

When will Salesforce C2PA be available?

The integration is in development and is coming soon. It is not yet available to install. Contact us for release updates and to discuss your use case.
